Hailee Steinfeld is going from cowgirl to scream queen! The True Grit star has joined the cast of the horror film Dead of Winter, an insider tells HollywoodLife.com. “Hailee will star as a teenage girl who heads to a remote cabin in the mountains with her father and new stepmother to bond,” our source reveals. “But when a mysterious wounded park ranger shows up, family bonding will be the least of their concerns.”

The Oscar nominee, 15, will next be seen as Juliet — opposite Douglas Booth‘s Romeo — in a film adaptation of the classic Shakespeare tale.

The movie sounds like Guillermo del Torro’s “Don’t be Afraid of the Dark”, but whatevs. Horror movies are not my thing, she’ll do fine!!!
