Nathan Lane dissed Kristen Stewart’s ‘Snow White and the Huntsman’ when he stopped by ’The Ellen DeGeneres Show’ on Feb. 17 to promote his Snow White-inspired flick!
With two Snow White movies competing against each other, which one is the better pick? Nathan Lane thinks you can definitely pass on Kristen Stewart‘s!
“If you see one Snow White movie this year, this is the one…that comes out first,” he says, referring to Mirror Mirror which hits theaters on March 16. (Snow White and the Huntsman comes out June 1.)
He adds jokingly: “[Mirror Mirror's] so good they named it twice.”
But Nathan saved the ultimate diss for last by saying K-Stew’s flick couldn’t compare, considering he had a Pretty Woman on his side.
“[Mirror Mirror] is a lot of fun, and we have the secret weapon that is Julia Roberts,” he says.

Way to take a sarcastic interview and twist it into a rivalry. He didn’t DISS anyone, if anything it actually seemed like he was poking fun at his own movie. Watch the interview before judging his words , it was all done in jest.

I agree. If you see the interview and take the comments in context: HE WAS JOKING, people. He is an actor and a gifted comedian and that is what he does. He did NOT diss Kristen Stewart. He didn’t even mention her name.

Don’t take it too seriously, guys !
I think Lily’s comment is the right to describe it. SWATH was definitely ‘ more present’ in the media, and MM just seems like a kiddy movie for 6 year olds(those 6 year olds will probably like it). SWATH is more likely for teens and adults. It is way more ‘attractive’ ;)

Actually, MM is one of those movies that works on two levels (much like some of the Disney movies do) in that it is filled with references only adults will understand. It may appeal to kids, but adults will also have their share of humor, etc.
I’m never sure WHY studios have to compete anyway. It was the same thing when there were two Wyatt Earp movies. It actually can help the box office because people want to see both to decide which one is best. In the end, people will go to see the actors they like.

I don’t think he was “dissing” anyone but it’s HIGHLY unlikely that MM will do better than SWATH. SWATH has potential for a range of different viewers and MM seems to be another boring movie were 2 women fight over a man.

Sure Julia Roberts is more of a box-office drawer than Charlize and Kristen combined(twilight doesn’t count), but it also depend a lot of the production and movie quality.

He didn’t diss it at all in my opinion. But LOL at the idea of Mirror, Mirror being better than SWATH. I mean so what if it’s more fun? Does SWATH promise any fun? No. I’m more interested in dark, twisted things than happy, cheesy comedy films obviously made for children. -_-
