Inspired by ‘Where The Wild Things Are,’ Stephen writes for the kids of Colbert Nation in his second publishing effort!
Stephen Colbert will release his first children’s book, I Am A Pole (And So Can You!), on May 8 through Grand Central Publishing, E! Online reports. “Every celebrity is out there cashing in on children’s books and I want in,” Stephen told Maurice Sendak when Maurice appeared on The Colbert Report last month.
Stephen’s fans bombarded Grand Central with letters requesting copies of the already bestselling author’s new publishing venture.
“It’s been a lifelong dream of mine to write a children’s book,” Stephen said. “I hope the minutes you and your loved ones spend reading it are as fulfilling as the minutes I spent writing it.”
Everything Stephen touches turns to comedy gold. No doubt he’ll find success with entertaining his younger fans as well.
