Madonna‘s Truth or Dare fragrance marks the superstar’s first foray into beauty, and she turned up at the launch event in Macy’s in NYC wearing a sheer and lace black Dolce & Gabbana ensemble. Madonna managed to put on one of the best halftime shows we’ve seen in a while last night during the 2012 Superbowl. The 53-year-old performer proved that she can captivate and wow an audience better than those half her age! The star opened the show, carried out by gladiators, before breaking into a rendition of ‘Vogue’ and showing off Cleopatra-like moves — and her custom-made couture costumes, courtesy of Givenchy by Riccardo Tisci, went perfectly with the performance! “People say everything has a limit, but limits do not exist with Madonna,” Riccardo told WWD regarding her looks last night. Just yesterday we announced that Madonna’s Material Girl line at Macy’s was expanding — and now you can get your first look at the affordable items, due out this fall!
It looks like Material Girl, the line created by Madonna and her daughter Lola, is a total hit — and we’re so pumped that they’re expanding the collection! Set to hit Macy’s from mid-August into mid-October, the latest items to join the brand include: intimate pieces (such as thongs, panties, bras, body suits and even biker shorts!), ranging from $5-$29 (arriving mid-July), sleepwear, from $14-$22, and denim collections ranging from $29-$33. While we’re thrilled about the additions, I’m most excited to see the new party dresses! From $59-$79, the frocks will feature lace, sequins, and feathers. Last but not least, trendy cape coats and bomber jackets from $60-$90 have also been added. We’re so happy to see such cool items that are both Trendy AND affordable — way to go, Madonna and Lola!
