They will have to race the clock to produce flashy, splashy wear for Victoria Secret model Miranda Kerr - good luck contestants! Before the designer’s can show during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in NYC, Tim Gunn awkwardly but adoringly treks out to the hometown of each remaining contestant, where he tracks their progress and meets their family and friends. These scenes always remind me of what it’s like when you’re younger and you run into your grade school teacher on the sidewalk or in the supermarket, when you’re both dressed down and you’re with your mom — it doesn’t always seem natural! There definitely wasn’t a dull moment in Project Runway, when the designer’s were told to draw inspiration from birds to craft their get-ups. Working in pairs, they would compete against their partner in a runway face-off — let the drama begin! The biggest meltdown of the night came from Kimberly — she stabbed her thumb with the needle, cries, stains her fabric, and burns a hole through her dress.
