Nigella Lawson (born January 6, 1960 in London, England) is an English celebrity chef and food writer. Nigella started as a literary editor for The Sunday Times in London in 1986 before becoming a freelance writer. Her first cook book, How To Eat, was released in 1998 and become a best-seller. Her second book, How To Be A Domestic Goddess, won her the British Book Award for Author of the Year in 2000. She also has a successful television career, hosting her own show called Nigella Bites on England’s Channel 4, Nigella Feasts on the Food Network, and a three-part TV series for BBC called Nigella’s Christmas Kitchen. As of 2013, she had sold over three million cookbooks, and her home cookware line, Living Kitchen, is valued at over $10 million.

Personal Life:
Nigella Lawson is the daughter of Nigel Lawson, the former Chancellor of the Exchequer. She graduated from Oxford University. In 1992 she married fellow journalist John Diamond. The two had two children together — Cosima and Bruno — and were married until 2001, when John died from throat cancer. Nigella then married art tycoon Charles Saatchi in 2003. In June 2013, Charles was photographed assaulting Nigella at a restaurant.
